The BC TRCR is delighted to announce that the 2017 Mine Reclamation Symposium will be held in Williams Lake, BC this September. The Symposium will include a field tour highlighting the rehabilitation work that has taken place at the Mt. Polley mine near Likely, BC and two days of technical paper presentations.

Symposium includes:

  • September 18 – Evening Welcome Reception at the Laughing Loon Pub.
  • September 20 – Technical Paper Presentations and Annual BC Mine Reclamation Awards Banquet at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex
  • September 21 – Technical Paper Presentations at the Cariboo Memorial Recreation Complex

Exciting options (with separate cost) include a full day workshop detailing the technical aspects of the failure, emergency response and details of the rehabilitation programs and permitting on September 18th and on September 19th, a Full-Day Field Tour of Mount Polley Mine.
